My Gun Projects
Here is a 50 bolt action rifle I designed and built in 1993-1994, focus of this design was to build a rifle that the sum total of the hard parts would fit in a 6"x6"x6" heat treat oven. Mostly constructed of seamless tubing. Ar fcg with a heavy hammer, cock on opening. This was an original design which I came up with on my own. If you are familiar with the current crop of bolt action 50 cal rifles the basic design might look familiar. The one in current commercial production is almost a direct knock off of my bolt , bolt carier and bbl extension, in fact the entire layout right down to the use of tubing and almost every other feature was coppied from my design. I dragged this prototype all over Florida to dozens of gunshows trying to raise captiol to put it in production between 1994 and 1997 and eventualy showed it to the wrong person.
Also included are a few pics of a couple of maadi griffin rifles built around 1996.
